Hi, I am taking co-irbewin and have been for the last year. I have noticed that for a short time every day (mostly in the morning) I get a very dizzy spell and have to hold on to my desk for a few seconds. It is quite scary when it is happening, and then goes away. I am 62 years of age.
Co-Irbewin is an anti-hypertensive medicine. It has its in-built side effects. The cause of hte dizziness can be due to postural hypotension or due to affection of internal ear apparatus. The only way is to get a clinical evaluation, actual examination and investigations and to find the cause. Another possibility is to change the medicine to some other anti-hypertensive without diuretic so that we can know whether the said medicine caused and if yes, to change over to another permanently.
