Suggest Treatment For Dizziness Followed By Nausea

I recently ate ahi tuna - pretty raw. About 30 to 40 minutes later I experienced the most severe bout of dizziness - couldn’t sit, lay down - had to keep moving while I held onto furniture. This lasted for at least 30 minuets. I then threw up and began to feel better - not great but good enough that I could finally sit and lay down. I was fine next day. I am 75. Should I be more concerned than to think it was food poisoning?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be due to food poisoning or acute gastritis. If you didn't feel any vomiting or diarrhea further means nothing to worry. Take rest and drink plenty of liquids.

If symptoms not improved, then please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
