Suggest Treatment For Dizziness With Heaviness In Ears After Injury
I am having some pains that I don t know if they are normal. I jumped off a bridge and landed feet first in the water below. When I came up for air I was extremely dizzy and l felt water pouring out my nose. After sitting down for a little bit the dizziness went away and I got the car where I became nauseous. Now the inside of both of my ears feel heavy and full and basically they feel filled with prressure. I still feel a little dizzy as well. What is going on? Do I need to see a doctor?
Hi. Seeing ENT Surgeon is better as he can examine and see the exact problem the ears have suffered. This could have been due to the water or air pushed from the pharynx through the Eustachian tubes to the middle ear or due to the trauma to the ear drums ( Tympanic Membrane) due to pressure of the gushing-in water fro outside. Both the conditions will give the acoustic trauma and inflammation of the balance mechanism in the ears is disturbed to give you dizziness.
First precaution is NOT to so anything on your own as it may increase the trauma. Do not blow nose Do not instill anything in the ear. Do not drive and be alone till you are seen by an ENT Surgeon.
