my wife recently arrived from the philippines almost 3 years ago and when she arrived they gave her treatment for TB which lasted about 6 months, she did not have any symptoms for this but we did it any way, now for the last 2 weeks she has had a dry hacking cough and after a Dr visit she was told she had a virus and given meds for that, almost a week now and still she seems to be worse, tightness in her chest and feeling heavy in her chest and hard to breath, she is concerned about asthma I have been giving her dayquil and nightquil every 4 hr for the past 4 days and no change, please help
Hi, From history it seems that she might be having bronchitis and mainly of viral origin. This will take 2-3 weeks to cure the infection. Continue with cough syrup to get symptomatic relief from cough. Give her Montek LC daily one for about 10 days. This will give good relief from her problem. Avoid cold drinks and junk food. Ask her to go for deep breathing exercises. Ok and take care.
