Suggest Treatment For Dry, Crusty Patches And Nodes On Scalp, Sides And Neckline

thank you! My scalp has dry crusty patches. I have natural hair, and I am a Black woman with soft, fine curly hair. Also, I am developing nodes in my scalp, on the sides, and behind my ears in my lower neck line. Tonight I am using an organic sulfur powder , mixed with a Nexxus moisturizing conditioner. My goal is to eliminate the drying of the scalp, and to heal fungal infections. I look forward to hear what you think.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. The nodes in neck could be enlarged lymph nodes from infected scalp. Use a povidine iodine based shampoo for a week and oral antibiotic like cephalexin.
If it does not show signs of improvement in say 3-4 days, consult a dermatologist.
Sulphur has antibacterial and keratolytic properties. But you should avoid it in high concentration and when skin is fissured. Hope it answers your queries
