Suggest Treatment For Dry Scratchy Throat Without Pain
I have had a dry scratchy throat for a couple of months now, no pain. I have tried several things being an RN and knowing the regular causes of coughs. I am not on an ACEI, have mild to moderate asthma and take flovent BID and xeopenex PRN. I restarted my fluticisone for post nasal drip and started nexium for any chance of silent GERD. The cough isn t helped much by water. I also take fexofenadine in the morning......any thoughts.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having dry scratchy throat without pain with asthma. These symptoms and the treatment you are taking indicate a possible allergic pharyngitis or laryngitis and requires treatment by the use of antiallergic drugs. The use of decongestants and antiallergic drugs will provide symptomatic relief.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this information is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions.
