Suggest Treatment For Dysentery With Yellow Mucus Stool

I have a chronical dysentery with yellow mucus stool. Now having stomach pain and going to latrine several time. Along with there is a heavy gas problem is pressuring up and releasing from mouth. I have taken Cap. pantocid dsr, but no effects. Please suggest me how can I get relief.

Hi thanks for contacting health care magic....

Here first get your stool examination for pus cells....
If present then it might be bacterial infection for which broad spectrum antibiotic given like ciprofloxacin for 5 days...
As you have loose stool also maintain hydration with lots of fluid....

Avoid excess spicy food...
Smoking and alcohol restricted for few days....
Fruits and green leafy fresh vegetables useful.

Avoid gas forming foods for few days like turnip, onion , cauliflower etc.

Soft and bland diet taken....
Heavy fatty meal and junk food or non veg restricted....

If still no benefit stool culture needed....

If still condition worsen colonoscopy done for further work up...

With keeping this in mind consult gastroentetologist...
