Suggest Treatment For Dyspepsia

I ve been having a ton of problems recently. Starting about 7 months ago I noticed what I thought was my stomach was starting to churn a lot and I burped a lot as well. We had originally assumed it was dairy so we tried a dairy free diet, but to not avail. I then began to have occasional heartburn about 5 months ago, so I was told to take nexium which took care of that. But we still couldn t diagnose the other problem. I had thought all the churning was going on in my stomach, but now I realize it s too far down, it s in my intestines. I ve cut gluten out of my diet because I was having abdominal pain whenever I ingested anything with gluten, but I m still having all the movement and burping and uncomfortable feeling. I haven t had a lot of problems with my stool aside from the occasional specks of blood in it and occasional runny stool.. I ve had an upper GI scope and a gastric emptying test but still no results. They ve ruled out ulcers and Celiac disease and parasites. My doctor has diagnosed me with functional dyspepsia and has given me medication, but I am still not feeling any better at all. Please help!

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read your full query and understand the concern.

Belching or burping is the way of body to expel out air from stomach whether it is due to excess swallowed air or produced because of food digestion or acid reflux or gastritis etc.

During deep breathing some amount of air get swallowed in stomach through esophagus.

You should take a deep breath but it must be taken with your nose only because even slight open mouth will allow the air to get swallowed and lead to belching or burping.

In addition, you take out breath through nose very slowly while keeping lips pursed.

Eat high protein and easily digestive food rather than carbohydrates or fatty foods.

Drink much of water will reduce belching.

You can take digestive enzymes like uniengyme once daily on empty stomach.

Consult gastroenterologist if there is any underlying stomach problems like hiatus hernia, reflux esophagitis, gastritis, gastric ulcer.

Regards,
