Suggest Treatment For Ear Draining And Pain

HI My left ear is alway draining sometime pain. I went to the doctor to treat it.He told me it was an ear affection.He cleaned my ear.And yes it felt better for a few days. But then it started the same thing.Now it feel like sores is developed in around my ear.And it is still draining.What should I do. marie

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted your history of drainage, pain and now sores around the ear.
This is possibly due to a fulminent infection with bacteria that are not responding to routine antibiotic or your resistance power is reduced by something like diabetes or so.
I would advise you the following in such a situation.
Get an opinion of an ENT for clinical evaluation, examination and proper treatment .
You may need further tests of blood for cbc, sugar; tests for pus from ear for gram staining, culture and sensitivity.
This will help you get a proper diagnosis and conduct a proper treatment .
