Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection In An Infant

I have a 10month old who has had 2 ear infections that are discharging puss. dr says her eardrum is swollen and she failed her hearing test for that ear. im wondering if tubes are the best answer or if I shoukd wait till the swelling goes down and redo the hearing test

Hello. I just read through your question.
It is still premature to consider tubes for your baby's ears. It is a good idea to repeat the hearing test after the swelling has gone down. However, if the ear infections continue, I recommend consulting with a good pediatric ENT.
