Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
I understand that you are worried that you may be having an
eating disorder. Most of the symptoms that you are describing are indeed suggestive of an eating disorder, probably
Anorexia nervosa.
Some of the typical symptoms of an eating disorder are:
- Refusal to maintain a body weight that is at or above the minimum normal weight for your age and height
- Intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat
- Having a distorted image of your appearance or shape
- Eating too much food in one go / Bingeing
- Engaging in weight losing behaviours like induced
vomiting, purging, taking water pills, etc.
In your case, you have many of the above features and it is highly likely that you have an eating disorder. So, I would advise you to see a
psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and further treatment. The earlier treatment is taken, the better is the outcome and it will avoid serious complications in the future.
Wish you all the best.
