Suggest Treatment For Eczema In An Infant

my 9 month old has excema, and it came to a stage where a strong steriod cream had to be used to help it. Im using it along side diprobase. I have been told to use the steriod when it gets bad, however, sometimes a period of only 7 or 8 days go by before i use it again? is that too soon? and is it ok to apply to the nipple area, as thats where she gets excema too?

Hi!
there is no harm in using the steroid when your child eczema worsens; as it greatly controls the condition and relieves your childs discomfort. it can be applied in the nipple area too, but make sure you dont exceed the amount recommended by your doctor. steroids are better jus applied and not to be rubbed into. concentrate more on applying diprobase. apply liberally , jus after you give your child a bath with a mild soap.
