I think I have some form of eczema or psorisis on my hand & going up my forearm...I ve been applying different hydrocortisone ointments, Exederm cream & using Aveno lotion but nothing is working to relieve itching & blisters forming...I m I contaigious as we have a 6 month old baby in the household? Thank you.
Hello, let me begin by telling you that eczema or psoriasis are non-contagious conditions...psoriasis donot present with itching or blistering and hence, you are unlikely to have this. Now, eczema is a possibility, but the treatment of this depends on the severity and the presence of secondary infection, topical corticosteroids of adequate potency are the mainstay of treatment along with good antihistamines. Hydrocortisone is the lowest potency steroid, hence, might not be very effective in your case. You need to visit a dermatologist for evaluation and appropriate management accordingly Thanks Take care
