Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell hard on my elbow 2 months ago. It was bruised, so i assumed the pain was from that. It is still sore to touch, and I can t lean on it at all. I m thinking maybe its chipped. My question is this: Is there anything that can be done about it now? If it just needs time to heal i ll just be patient, but if there is something that can be done I ll go to dr.
I think you should visit your doctor and get x ray and MRI of the elbow. There can be following possibilities. 1. Hairline fracture of the bone 2.Cartilage injury 3. Ligament injury So my suggestion is that you should get above mentioned test and if some thing is present in the elbow then get the treatment from a orthopaedic surgeon. You might need immobilization or splinting. If there is some indication of the surgery then you should go ahead with that.
