Suggest Treatment For Elbow Injury

I lacerated my elbow. Wound had gravel inside... Stitches were removed a week ago... Part of wound is still draining and sore... This is my second antibiotic... Doctor says to wait another three weeks... Should I wait and see if the debris works its way out of the wound? Or, seek another opinion!

Hi,

Do proper wound cleaning and dressing. It is better to start on intravenous antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
