Suggest Treatment For Elevated BP

I am 60 years old man. Today my Blood pressure is 130/90. For last few years due to high BP I am on supermat AM. My doctor advised me to take Sartel 40. In last few days my BP range was 110-125/76- 90. What should be done to prevent further lowering of the BP.

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are currently on three blood pressure medicine two components in first one and one newly added. You can discuss with local doctor regarding this. If you are concerned with low BP then BP medicine must be reduced. AM component of supermet Am can be omitted or dose of Sertel can be decreased. So you need to discuss these things with local doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Sagar Makode
