There are many things missing in the description.

Is she on regular follow up with your doctor?
Did she have any scan recently?
Also, is she taking thyroxine?
What type of surgery was performed?
Histopathological diagnosis?

I presume that you have been informed about your wife's condition and the prognosis during her recent surgery and radio-iodine treatment.
It's better you discuss in depth with your primary doctor on her rising thyroglobin levels and the treatment options.
