Suggest Treatment For Elevated Neutrophil Count In Blood
My brother is 6 feet tall, 270 lbs, 35 years old and does not drink nor smoke. He has had lower stomach pain that moves around his lower right belly area. Blood work showed his neutrophils are very elevated. He has H pylori. Took antibiotics for 2weeks. However, his pain still remains. He has random bouts of diarrhea. His neutrophils remain very high. Doctor has not given a reason nor scheduled any further appointments. Any advice?

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Arun's Response
Hello, Thank you for your contact to healthcare magic. I understand your health concern, if I am your doctor I suggest you that high neutrophil count is associated with some kind of infection as you mentioned in your case probably is because of H. pylori infection. H. pylori infection required long duration of treatment. So do not expect short treatment and result. Take the treatment and wait for good result that is what all is necessary in your case.
I will be happy to answer all your future concern. Thank you, Dr Arun Tank Infectious disease specialist. Wish you a best health at health care magic.
