Welcome to HCM.

Normally, blood triglyceride levels are less than 150mg/dL. Certainly your levels are elevated (214 mg/dl). Based on the limited information you have provided about your daily lifestyle I may not be able to specifically advise you. However, fenofibrate with statins have been effective in improving triglyceride levels.

Lifestyle intervention: Wherever applicable to you, it is very important to reduce the intake of fried food and increase the intake of vegetables and fruits, and foods rich in fiber. Importantly, daily physical exercise such brisk walking every day for 30minutes is a must.

Although your triglycerides are elevated, your increase in homocysteine levels are concerning. Homocheck is prescribed to you for its treatment. The reasons for the elevated blood levels are multifactorial, however the major cause is inadequate levels of folic acid, vitamin B6 and B12. The given medication should suffice the need. Also restricting foods rich in animal protein will help improving your homocysteine levels.

Hope this helps.
