Hi,
I understand your concern.
Endometrial ovarian cyst can be treated by medicines ( NSAID drus, hormonal contraceptives).. this avoids ovulation & complications of the cyst.
After diagnosing, the cysts are treated with medicines to start with..after menopause there is automatic regression of endometrium, resolving basic cause of the problem.
Surgery is a permanent treatment for the condition. It is applied in case there is no benefit of medications./ if cyst is large sized. It is the treating doctor's decision to undrtake surgery.
Thanks.
