Suggest Treatment For Endometrial Hyperplasia

i had a miscarriage around the 14th november and i finally had a scan last week the lady that done the ultrasound said i had thick uterus lining...yet still no sign of my period coming any time soon. what could that possibly mean? shall i visit my doctor ?

Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. Since your endometrial lining is thicker than it should be, excess estrogen production must be suspected. If you did not have a natural period after the miscarriage, you need further evaluation. A proper clinical evaluation, hormone profile and blood counts are needed. Induction of a period can be done if there is marginal endometrial hyperplasia. However, if the thickness exceeds 14 mm., it is better to go for an endometrial biopsy and plan further management.
