Suggest Treatment For Endometriosis

i am going to an oncologist tomorrow, after having 6 laproscopic surgeries for endometerosis, the last showed a large egg like growth inside my uterus, but he did not do a biopsy, as the specialist I was sent to said should have been performed. So I recently had a trans-vaginal ultrasound which only showed one ovary (left) which is as the dr. worded it alot smaller than normal. And my uterine lining is almost inch thick. I am 35, and have been taking ongoing birth control (SIPPING PLACEBOS AS ORDERED by my gynecologist, for more than 10 yrs. I also have the main 10 signs for ovarian cancer. Should I be worried about uterine cancer as well as ovarian, as the endo has me stuck to other organs, as the colon and liver, should I be concerned there as well? ( i was diagnosed with lap. surgery for endometerosis at 17)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,
Understand your concern.
Endometrosis is due to excessive estrogen hormone

Following are symptoms of endometriosis:
Painful, heavy, or irregular periods
Pain and spotting during or after sex
Infertility
Painful bowel movements
Fatigue

Following are treatments of endometriosis:
1. Hormonal therapy:
- Progestrone
- Oral contraceptive pills
- Danazole and gestrinone
- GnRH agonist
- NSAIDS for pain relief
2. Surgery: if associated with sever pain and infertility
- Excision of endometrium and adhesion with preservation of uterus and ovary.

But better to consult the gynecologist for effective treatment.
Treatment response depend upon patients response.
Hope this may help you.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
