My boyfriend is waiting for diagnosis and treatment possibilities re enlarged prostate. He has been wearing a catheter for almost 3 weeks. This morning we made love with the catheter, using a condom. He ejaculated normally, into the condom and there was some spillage onto our bodies.
Does this mean that the medications he has been taking for about 10 days (Flomax) is starting to work at reducing enlargement size? Would he have had retrograde ejaculation if the urethra was still blocked by the prostate?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He has benign prostatic hyperplasia with or without some prostatitis. He should go for ultrasound abdomen and serum PSA level. It will give exact idea regarding size of prostate and help to rule out cancer. Then he should take treatment accordingly. Drugs like prazocin and finateride are helpful in benign prostatic hyperplasia. These all are prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
