My son's right eye is no longer centered, but rather staying pretty steady toward the corner of his eye socket/near nose bridge. What could be the cause? A hit to eye? pressure? nerve damage? Most recent he has been standing in front the TV (as his eye was normal), I didn't think anything of it....then a few days later, when picking him up from school, his teacher approached me w/what they noticed. There is a stark contrast with the position of his eye that was never an issue/noticeable before
there might be squint or phoria. ocular muscle movement is to be tested and cover test be done for correct diagnosis, refraction is to be done and visual acuity of each eye to be tested separately.
you have not given his age. he is having paralytic squint post injury or infection. had he been below 9years then orthoptic treatment with patching of good eye would have been recommended. if above ten years cosmetic surgery can be done it will give a good look but amblyopic eye vision will not improve.
