Hi I have had discomfort when I sit down in a chair, the problem has been going on for 4 days nonow. It feels like I have to pass gas or go and do the number 2, I can t tell if it is my rectum or tailtbone. I have had my rectum checked and they said I had stool stuck at the top. They put me on laxtine.....it seems like everything is out, I workout and I did the machine the day I started having the issue it was machine that work my hamstring and butt help please?
Hello Obviously prolong sitting in chair or work out without proper care and changing of postures can lead to cracking of the skin around the anus or rectum leading to formation of fissures or hemorrhoids
Since I can't physically examine you to get more clues so In my opinion you should see a doctor for clinical and per rectal examination to confirm the diagnosis
I see patients with similar complaints in my clinic and I would advise them to avoid constipation by taking laxatives or stool softening agents like lactulose or liquid paraffin Avoid prolonged sitting in one posture Say no to smoking and alcohol Have lots of dietary fibers and fresh fruits or vegetables to keep colon healthy. lignocaine ointment can be applied for the pain site bath twice daily will definitely help you
Hope this answers your question Wish you good health
