Suggest Treatment For Facial Alopicea

i have some patches of facial alopicea. My derm recommended some topical ointments be applied. In addition, he prescribed Dicaris 150mg to be taken (I believe just for two days). Dicaris appears to be for treating colon cancer so I'm puzzled to its use for alopecia. Any thoughts ?
