I am a PV patient using hydrea for the last 10 years. My blood counts are within normal range since 2015. Some dark paches appearing on my face and spreading very slowly . Doctor (hematologist) says these r due to hydrea which is being used for a decade, plz help me out before it is too late. Age 60 (male) asian.
Your doctor may be right, facial melanosis may be due to drug, sun rays or vitamin deficiencies.
Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Tablet vitamin C, tablet glutathione, and multivitamin tablets may be taken for a long time. Apply Kojic acid gel on the patches.
