Suggest Treatment For Facial Herpes

Hi, two years ago I got facial herpes. However anytime I kiss someone I now get spots on my face and a cold sore starts, just from kissing. The only way to stop the problem is to go to the doctor and ask for aciclovir or Zovirax. Is there anything that I can do so I can kiss people without getting a cold sore a few days later. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Herpes labial is can spread by kissing. However it has a tendency to remain dormant in ganglion of nerves.Any stress like exposure to cold wind, sunlight, mental stress and physical illness can reactivate it.If it bothers you too much than you can take what is known as supressive therapy in which acyclovir is given continously for 6 months or more. You can consult your dermatologist regarding the same. Regards.
