Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, your daughter is having having either bronchitis or asthma.
Her symptoms are more suggestive of post infectious bronchitis.
And best treatment fir bronchitis is inhaled therapy with inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
So better to
consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
Inhaled bronchodilators like
formoterol,
salmeterol should be given twice daily.
ICS like
budesonide,
fluticasone should also be given twice daily.
You can give ABphyllin, but don't give omnacortil (oral steroid). Better to give ICS then oral steroid in children.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
