Suggest Treatment For Fever And Diarrhea In A 19-month-old
My soon 19 month old and passing 3-4 times a day and also suffering from fever advided to give him entrogermina and meftal.. But the fever is not going to come down. My quetion is that is entrogermina is an antibiotics need suggestions for right treatment. .
For your 19-month-old baby: First of all just ensure to monitor temperature a 4 hourly temperature charting will help to plan proper line of treatment.
For fever give the baby Drop. Pacimol/Crocin every 6 hourly (for baby weight = 8 kg). And about diarrhoea: 3-4 stool episodes in a day is OK until the baby is active. Non lethargic.
Just give ORS/Electral. If signs of dehydration appear then more of ORS Along with zinc will be helpful. Susp. Amox can be given in case of some dehydration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
