Suggest Treatment For Fever And Swelling Of Tonsils

I have had the fever, also my tonsils are swollen and have yellow spots on. i have always had big tonsils with craters which are annoying. My body has been aching and been changing temperature a lot.. not only that my testicle has been aching.. any suggestions what i can do to calm these symptoms down until i see my doctor tomorrow? Thanks

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

Your history and symptoms are suggestive of acute tonsillitis with enlarged tonsils.
This condition will hampers swallowing and leads constitutional symptoms.

You requires physical examination before any treatment is advised. Based on your symptoms I would suggest you to follow

1. Salt water gargling.
2. Chlorhexidine mouth wash.
3. NSAIDs like Tab Ibuprofen.
4. Oral antibiotics like Tab Augmentin, twice daily for 5 days.

If the symptoms are nor coming down you may require IV antibiotics.
