My son is 19 year old and suffered throat infection/temperature doc suggested azomax as i refused for tab. augmentine... Is azomax good for treatment of throat infection? what would be likely dose 500 mg/day or 250mg twice/day? My only worry to avoid heavy antibiotic....
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your son has upper respiratory tract infection with fever. He should take broad spectrum antibiotics like augmentine, azithromycin, cefadroxil or levofloxacin. You can take any of these antibiotics according to advice. Azithromycin dose for adult is 500 mg once a day. For fever he can take paracetamol. Antibiotics are strictly prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
