Suggest Treatment For Fever, Cough And Sore Throat Of A 5 Year Old

my 5 yr old daughter is holding a high fever and a cough that sounds like it comes from down deep in her chest. These seem to be the only symptoms she has. Along with a raspy voice and sore throat caused by the coughing. what suggestions do u have to suppress these symptoms until i can get her to the doctor on monday and what type of illness does it sound like. Serious or not?

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. It seems that she is going through a viral illness...voice rest the best thing which will hep her now. St the best you can use some safe antitussives and I suggest you not to use any antibiotic. Danger signs include inspiratory noise called stridor or fast breathing or inability to feed or unconsciousness. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time.
