Suggest Treatment For Fever , Diarrhea , Nausea And Excessive Sweating

Hi, I had high temperature, shaking cold, then hot flushes sweating, watery diarrhea, nausea and felt very weak. I did take nubrofen 600gm every 6-8 hours, although i am still experiencing some sweating-hot flushes- i am feeling much better now but the watery diarrhea its still there, after a little while eating I have to rush to the toilette, and this seems to increase. This all started 48 hours ago. Any advises on how to cure this diarrhea would be much appreciated. Many Thanks, Diego

Thanks for the query

Fever,sweating,nausea,hot flushes and diarrhea is lilkey to be related to gastroenteritis or colitis which needs urgent medical attention.

It is mostly due to viral infection but sometimes could be bacterial or parasitic even.

You should undergo some routine blood works,ESR,blood electrolytes and abdominal ultrasound to rule out any infective causes.

Since you have already taken nubrofen 600 mg and felt better but you will also require antibiotics, anti-spasmodic, anti-emetics,probiotics and other supportive treatment as per your symptoms.

Eat soft and liquid diet only.Try to avoid heavy food for initial few days.Your diarrhea would start subsiding within 2 or 3 days but you need to complete the course of treatment further.

Better to consult physician for proper treatment.
