Suggest Treatment For Fever In Kid

Hi,



My kid suffering from fever for last 6 days. Dcotor sais he is infecteed by Viral fever and we are giving Ibugesic and kalpal. We are giving this dosage every 6 hrs since he is getting temp in that frequency. Since fever is not gettign reduced we are worrying like whether it will typhoid or what.. pl suggest

Hi, fever is persisting for 6 days, if I was your treating doctor i would have asked to do typhidot Igm for typhoid, Complete blood count and NS1 Antigen test for dengue. I think your child should be started on treatment guidelines for typhoid but for this we need exact weight of child as antibiotics are effective in proper dosage only. Secondly, do temperature charting that is record temperature every 8 hours and revert back with records.
