Suggest Treatment For Fever , Nasal Congestion And Cough
My 3 years son is having fever between 99.6 to 101 since last four days with cough and congested nose. He has a history of convulsions. Have been giving him Cefixime Antibiotic twice a day with frisium. However fever recurrs every 9 to 10 hours. Blood tests for malaria and dengue is negative. Blood count differential and Hb normal. Please suggest.

I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take cough expectorants. You should take anti inflammatory medication such as Levocetrizine. Take diet rich in vitamin B12. You should take antibiotics such as Levofloxacin or Azithromycin for 5-7 days. You should get blood test done. You should get an x ray of the chest and pulmonary function tests done as well. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. You should Chew a Vitamin C pellet. Take decongestants and mucolytic agents. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
