Suggest Treatment For Fibromyalgia And Depression

Hi, I'm looking for a Psychiatrist that can help me with chronic pain plus depression. I lost my brother in 2002, the day after he had just turned 47. I know I still have not dealt with losing him and then my mom found my dad dead in th bathroom which I had prayed so many times that wouldn't happen but it did. I have been diagosed with fibromyalgia, cyst on my spine and my depression seems to just get worse. I need to find a Psychiatrist in Topeka, KS.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. You developed the symptoms after death of your brother and then lost your father and the symptoms aggravated. You have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, spinal cyst and depression. The symptoms of depression are getting worse. For symptoms of depression and fibromyalgia medicines like SNRIs are commonly used. Duloxetine, Venlafaxine etc are commonly used medicined and can help in reduction of pain in fibromyalgia and you will feel better. Pregabalin, Gabapentin etc are also very useful in such symptoms. Consult a psychiatrist near by your area and discuss about these medicines.
