Although iam taking adequate medicines i could not able to overcome it. I do not smoke often but rarely like once in a day. Should i need to stop smoking completely to heal the wound.
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor that reduces nutritional blood flow to the skin, resulting in tissue ischemia and impaired healing of injured tissue. Some yes I suggest you to stop smoking until the wound is completely healed. Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
