Suggest Treatment For Fits And Sweating In Palms And Feet

hi, I was having fits problem since childhood ( identified by age-6/8 yrs old) and now I'm 20yrs old. I hv consulted Dr Geeta Mohanty at Burla and taking Valparin till then. But now a days, I'm studying at BBSR and cudn't able to visit the same DR frequently and I'm facing the same problem ( like my palms and feets are sweating like anything).

I'm bit scared. Please suggest.

Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. It is good that you have been seizure free for last 10-12 years. From your history, it is not clear when did you stop drugs? Was drug stopped after normalisation of EEG? you can provide these details by asking another question.

Now coming to your complaint of sweating in palms and feet, it could be due to many reasons like anxiety, mental stress due to work, hyperactive state. If you are not having any other symptom other than this, it is less likely to be due to fits.

But still to exclude any doubt, you can consult neurologist and get EEG done to rule out any epileptic form discharge (suggestive of fits). He/she will also evaluate and examine you and thus helps in reaching unto some conclusion.

Do not self medicate with anti-epileptic drugs.

Hope it will help you. Thanks.

Take care.

ur fits seems to be Co trolled with valparin. so continue it. get detailed evaluation for ur fits to know the cause in for of MRI brain and EEG.
increased sweating in palms and soles is different issue and not related with ur fits. it's very common and called as idiopathic hyperperspiration.vo sult a dermatologist for it.
