Suggest Treatment For Floaters In The Right Eye

I have had a floater in my eye diagnosed several years ago. I suddenly am seeing a pretty large squilly line that is moving when I try using my right eye. It is very distracting and nothing like my last floater. Is this something that I should consult an eye doctor about right away?

Hello,

These are all floaters. They are degenerative bodies floating in vitreous. There is no treatment for them except to keep watch. If increased, they can indicate impending retinal detachment may require by rays to be sealed. Fundus examination is required to watch for tear hole or peripheral detachment.

Consult retina specialist for examination and advise on treatment presently you have to bear with floaters and except them as part of your life and be antiquated with them. Take rest and avoid straining stooping and jumping follow-up is to be done IOT measured field tracing is to be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
