Dear Doc, We have completed 2 years of our marriage and proceed for baby planning in the Month of MARCH 2014. My gynac recommended routine tests for both of us to ascertain if things are normal. The results of uterine scan showed fluid in the uterus for which the Gyanc gave me suppositories (3 Days)and clindamycin course as well as fluconazole (One a week for 4 weeks). She also put me on folic acid and cabergoline tabs as my prolactin levels were slightly high (25%-35%) However, the fuild still remains and a TB Gold test came positive (28 pg/ml) as she suspected a greater PID infection. Now she has put me on AKT-3 tabs for 6 months. Are there any other tests I should go for? Should I begin the treatment with AKT-3 along with clindamycin and fluconazole tabs? The web says this may lead to infertility and tubal blockages. Are there any tests to ascertain the same? Thank you for the guidance and support
Hi, I think you should go ahead with akt treatment. You can stop taking clindamycin and fluconazole. Regarding your tubes, you can go for a laparoscopy for that because HSG can lead to flare up of tuberculosis. Laparoscopy will tell you regarding your uterus, ovaries and tubes conditions. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Regards Dr khushboo
