Suggest Treatment For Fullness And Discomfort In The Right Ear

My right hand side ear has been feeling full and there is so much discomfort and the feeling is getting worse. There is not pain. I had used headphones at work for about two weeks in October 2017. I am also fond of sleeping on my right side. I need immediate and effective home remedies that can help relief this feeling.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It seems like your ear has been blocked by wax. You can use drops of vaseline oil that is used for the ear, or simple olive oil. 2-3 drops, every night for one week. Remove the excess wax that drips from your ear, but do not put cotton tips inside. If not better after doing this, consider going to the ENT specialist who can perform an ear lavage for you. There is no other way to remove the wax, if the oil drops do not work.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
