Suggest Treatment For Gastritis And Loose Motion

Hi Doctor, Yesterday after lunch my BM was preceded by what seemed to be just gas, but what was a really yellow oily liquid of some sort. The liquid comes out very easily, in farts that are hard to control. I know the term oily sounds strange, it sure is to me because I have never had this before, but it kind of looked at first like the oil on top of the soup. I ved also noticed that it has a fairly thick consistency, like lining of some sort. In otner words, when I flush the toilet, the yellow oily liquid would continue to stick on the inside of the toilet bowl. I m very conscious of what I eat. I m lactose, gluten intolerant & vegetarian, but I eat fish every now & then. Have i got a leaky gut? Please help and I need your advice. Thank you.

Hello. Thanks for asking question on HCM.

By your description it appears that you have steatorrhoea - that is fat malabsorption. Two common causes of this are chronic pancreatitis or small bowel mucosal disease. As you dont have any pain abdomen and are gluten intolerant it appears that u are suffering from small bowel mucosal disease with malabsorption. Are you a known case of Celiac disease ? If so check your food for gluten content. I would suggest you to avoid fatty food and gluten at present. If still have problem please consult gastroenterologist.

Take care.
