Suggest Treatment For Genital Hsv-1 Infection
Can two people with HSV 1 be infected with genital HSV 1 having oral sex. I heard if the couple has Type 1 only they are immune to the virus ,therefore either he or she will not get it genital Type 1 having oral sex. Also with both having Type 1 when can they have oral sex. Thank you

One can get genital lesion following oral sex with an individual who has
HSV 1 infection. It is unlikely that HSV 2 infection to manifest other than ano-genital area whereas HIV 1 can manifest over genitals.
Having oral sex in absence of any oral lesions or recurrences, the chances of getting genital manifestations are very much less in spite of there might be viral shedding for few days following and prior to an recurrence.
