Suggest Treatment For Greenish Discoloration Of Skin After Application Of Cream
Hi I recently burned my leg on the exhaust from my motorcycle. It seems to be a bad burn. I have been applying SSD cream on it. I am also washing with saline wound wash. After I wash with the saline I put the cream on a gauze pad and cover the wound. After a short time the top layer seems to turn green with the cream. Is this normal? I have pain. I am not sure if the cream is making it turn green, and if that is normal? Should I be using saline wound wash? Should I use something else? The burn is pretty deep, but not too deep. Thanks for your help.
Hi!! I have gone through your history and the geenish discolouration you are experiencing is side effect of SSD cream but it is not very serious side effect. You can continue with saline wound wash. You should also take oral antibiotic like amoxycillinclavulanic acid combination to prevent secondary infection and for faster healing of the burn wound.
