Suggest Treatment For Groin Pull And Popping Sound After Kickboxing

Hi, I pulled my groin a few weeks back (about 3 or 4). I stopped using it. Yesterday I tried to do kickboxing and I heard a popping sound. I can run, ride a stationary bike, and jump rope with no problem at all. What can I do to help it heal completely?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The groin pull and the popping sound can be due to a muscle spasm or a mild capsular inflammation. There can be a mild ligament tear also. You need to avoid all stressful activities to help it heal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
