I just found out I have a blighted ovum. During the ultrasound, they also discovered a 7 mm cyst ( which is on a nerve and has been causing me a TON of pain resulting in a percocet prescription). 2 questions 1) I do not want to become addicted to such a strong pain medication and have made it clear I don t want to be on this long term for that reason but this cyst makes it so hard to function in daily life that I NEED something. I was told they would monitor it ( it keeps getting bigger) and it should go away on its own. Do I have a right to laproscopic surgery or getting it removed despite what my doctor thinks? Surgically removing a huge cyst should seem more favorable than getting a patient hooked on percocet waiting for it to go away however long that may take. . 2) Could this huge cyst have in any way caused my blighted ovum? I m really starting to wonder if there is any correlation between the two . . Thanks in advance!
