Suggest Treatment For Hair Fall

hi.. i am utsab from kolkata. for the past 3 years i have been experiencing hairfall, thinning of the crown region and overall my hair seems to be weak and thin.. i advised a local doctor and he prescribed me minokem-5% soln. which i used for 3 months or so.. post this i stopped its usage.. immediately after this i suffered from chicken pox and experienced tremendous hairfall; so much that my friends started noticing my scalp and would say that im going bald. now after i this i checked online and started using MINOKEM-N 5% instead of minokem 5% and have used it for about 3 months now .. also i have been taking biotin ultra tablets prescribed by doc and using ketoconazole shampoo. my parents are saying that they have seen some improvements but i am sceptical.. even now i can see the scalp in the crown region. i am using this lotion twice daily on dry scalp. my question is that am i going on the right track?? i mean when i wash my hair daily 7-8 hairs fall. when i comb again 3-4 hairs fall . the same happens when i apply the lotion.. so on average i lose about 10-15 hairs daily..

hi,
thank you for putting up your query on HCM.
as per your history, you have androgenetic alopecia.
-- since you are already using minokem-n lotion, I would advise you to continue using the same.
-- it takes about 3-4 months to show hair regrowth and stop hairfall
-- as you have already said, you have improvement using it.. have faith, don't worry much.
-- up to loss of 100 hair / day is considered normal, so 15-20 hair loss is very small.
-- you may continue taking biotin 100 mcg and applying minokem n lotion for at least 6 months to see visible results.
-- also, have a balanced diet containing fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
-- Remember, sudden stoppage of minokem lotion will cause a severe hair fall. so, dont stop the lotion without consulting your dermatologist.
wishing you healthy hair.
thank you
