I have gone through your query. Number of CD4 cells are elevated in HIV and other autoimmune diseases. I assume that you doctors have ruled out HIV. Since there are numbers autoimmune diseases, it is difficult to diagnose exactly. CD4 cells affect hair follicles and cause baldness. Your's is known as Alopecia areata(AA) multilocularis. Suppressing your immune system will help in some extent but it is not advised because you are having EBV infection. Local application of clobetasol or minoxidil can be considered but not used for longer period. A medicine diphenylcyclopropenone has shown a significant results in treating AA.
