Suggest Treatment For Hair Loss

Hi doctor. I am 29 years female 5 5 height and 56 kg weight. I am having hair fall since two years. I used to have very curly dense hair and now I can feel my scalp with hair density reduced to half. I also take medication for thyroid thyroxine 25 mcg since I was diagnosed hypothyroid two months ago. My hairline on the left side is Also visibly receded. Please advise. (I often iron my hair thrice a week to style it)

Hello dear,

I have gone through your question and I guess your hair fall is associated with thyroid disorder, although many things to look out for,
get your Hb and s.ferritin done, if it's low than start tablets for that also.

Also start tablet containing biotin calcium pantothenate , saw palmetto, zinc , selenium etc.
For 3 months.

Most importantly topical minoxidil 5% 2 ml tobe applied on scalp at night 1 hour before going to sleep, once controlled , say in 3 to 4 months than shift to minoxidil 2 % continue for at least another 8 to 10months .

Also add herbal hair oil

do get prescribed those medicines by a doctor /dermatologist.

Thank you
